Martha Stewart the GOAT

Wow just watched Martha’s Stewart’s film on Netflix and honestly I was born in the 90s and I was not familiar with her game. And that is the problem.
This film made it possible for the most densest of idiots to put respect on her name. She really stood up to the patriarchy and IS a pioneering feminist by having made home making a respected role. She was driven and literally self made to make a name for herself and homemaking. She stood up to these men in the 90s, just 20 years after women had the right to have bank accounts and credit cards by themselves. She became a publicly traded figure and reached a billion dollars. Why are we not remembering or celebrating her for the GOAT that she is?
She was literally taken down by stupidity. Countless of men have been charged for what she did but the media literally was so misogynistic and MSLO had to be consolidated, sold, and taken off the public market.
What an amazing life that she made and honestly, home making is fun. Once I embraced my power in it, I enjoyed making delicious meals and hosting. I used to shun these “feminine” chores because it was expected out of me. But when I did it for myself and out of love, I felt powerful. And that’s exactly what Martha Stewart did with homemaking and hosting. She became a cultural icon and blazed a trail doing what she loves and still continues to do it; haters or not, she managed to be a billionaire in the 21st century when just a generation ago, women weren’t allowed to open a bank account or hold her own credit card.
Martha on Netflix is what we need to combat the trad wife. She may look demure, but her temperament is not. She makes lovely things AND gets what she wants. She does not compromise on her values nor does she think lesser of them because she is feminine. She brought power back to the feminine in the modern patriarchal world. She may be performing traditional tasks but she is independent, the main tradition she is carrying on is the reminder that women are extremely powerful.
Plus being waify, white, and blonde definitely helped but this is more so about how even then, she stood in defiance and did it all.
